Use For

Trichoderma harzianum Rifai strain T-22, which when applied to seeds, transplants or other propagative material, or to soil or planting mixes, grows onto plant roots as they develop and provides protection against plant root pathogens and plant-pest nematodes.

How it works

Mode of action

The mode of action of Trianum P is based on the following mechanisms:

Competition for space
Trianum P grows faster on the surface of the root than other soil-borne fungi. Other fungi get less chance to establish on the roots.

Competition for nutrients
Trianum P takes away the source of nutrients that the pathogens need. The pathogens therefore have less chance to develop.

Parasitism of pathogens
Trianum P grows around the mycelia of the pathogens. The cell walls of the pathogens break down and the pathogens die.

Directions for Use

Application

Trianum P can be applied via planter box (on-site), as a commercial seed treatment, in-furrow spray, transplant starter solution, greenhouse and nursery drench, as a dust (pre-plant), to cutting/bare roots, and drip-irrigation systems. Check the label for each crop and situation. Apply Trianum P as early as possible to the crop for optimal effect.

The application of Trianum P depends on the crop and use. Check the label to find the Directions for Use for each crop and situation.

Timing

Start application preventively at sowing or soon after planting of the crop. Check the label to find the Directions for Use for each crop and situation.

Environmental conditions

Trianum P Biological Fungicide becomes active in soil or on plants when temperatures are above 50 ºF and is not effective while temperatures remain cold.
