General information
When to use Isarid?
Isarid™ works best in a pest management program designed to keep insect and mite populations below levels that damage plants and other food crops. Integrate Isarid™ into an overall pest management strategy whenever pesticide use is necessary. Isarid is OMRI certified, and approved for use on labeled greenhouse plants (food crops, ornamentals, trees, shrubs, and ornamental grasses), nursery crops, turfgrass and turf landscapes, and outdoor agricultural food crops
How does Isarid work?
When spores of Isarid come into contact with the insect pest they attach to the body and begin to grow almost immediately. Once the spore germ tube penetrates the host cuticle, fungal multiplication takes place through formation of hyphal bodies in the host body. The Isarid microbe mechanically disrupts the host’s internal organs and initiates tissue necrosis. This leads to lack of feeding, inactivity and eventually death.
