Predators & Parasitoids

Predators and Parasitoids represent the majority of our intervention strategies for controlling pests found both in the canopy and growing media. Combating some of the most harmful pests known to growers, predatory mites, such a Persimilis and Swirskii, have the capacity to wipe out entire populations of dreaded pest mites, like Two-Spotted Spider Mites and Hemp Russet Mites. Aside from the soil mites, which patrol the top layers of the growing media, these predatory mites are microscopic and hunt exclusively in the canopy of your garden. As their hunting activity is limited to the foliar section of your plants, and unlike the broader category of beneficial insects, the application rates of these mites are calculated based on plant counts and average plant dimensions, rather than on the square footage of the growing space.
