Ornamental crops are unique in how we approach biocontrol, as the final product is the foliage and flowers, so there is little to no tolerance for insect pest presence or feeding damage on the finished product.

Biocontrols for ornamental crops are chosen based on specific environmental growing conditions of the crops under biocontrol and need to be started early and applied preventatively throughout the growing cycle.

Scouting cards are an important tool for both weekly insect pest monitoring and for determinating optimal timing and rates of biocontrols for specific ornamental crops.

At Natural Enemies we are here to help you identify and prevent some of the most common pests we see in the ornamental plant world.
